Pijama não pode/deve ser o look da semana, não?! / Can I wear my pj's?

Cada semana que penso que vai ser mais fácil montar o visual, me surpreendo com a dificuldade que surge na escolha. O look desta semana é a roupa mais antiga do nosso armário e, confesso para vocês que depois de vários dias pensando, a peça que mais me veio, foi este pijama rosa de inverno:

Isso não significa que tenho pouca roupa: NÃO...tenho até demais!!! A grande questão é que nos últimos 5 anos me mudei 3 vezes e isso fez com que, em casa mudança, eu fizesse uma limpeza no meu guarda-roupa, restando poucas peças MUITO antigas.

Mas, para obedecer às regras e ao tema proposto, montei esse visual que, se não o look mais velho, tem um tanto quanto tempo comigo. A blusa verde é do tempo da faculdade, a saia preta não lembro nem quando comprei, mas sei que ela era mais longa e, há uns 5 anos resolvi deixar ela mais curta... confesso que durante um tempo ela foi usada pela minha mãe e, faz uns 2 anos que retomei a posse dela.

Every week I think it'll be easy to come up with my look, and then I'm overwhelmed by how difficult it gets! This week's look should be done with the oldest piece in my wardrobe and, I must confess: after many days thinking about it, what came to my mind was this winter pink pajamas.

This doesn't mean I haven't got enough clothes. NO! I've got plenty! But the thing is that in the past 5 years I moved 3 times, and on each moving, I cleaned my wardrobe and gave my old pieces away. So the VERY old pieces are really gone.

But, to follow the rules and compromise to the proposed theme, I came up with this look, which maybe hasn't the oldest pieces, but these ones have been with me for quite a while. The green blouse is from my college days, the black skirt I can't remember when I got it, but I know it was longer and 5 years ago I decided to make it shorter... for a while my mom was wearing it and then 2 years ago I decided to reclaim it.

Não lembro exatamente quando comprei essa blusa, mas sei exatamente porque comprei: pela cor. Vermelho é minha cor preferida, e eu, adolescente, com dinheiro na mão, seria difícil resistir a uma blusa nessa cor. Sim, tenho essa blusa desde a adolescência. Como disse antes, não lembro quando comprei. Deve ter sido em torno de 1998, pois lembro de usá-la aos sábados para fazer prova no colégio.

E mesmo depois de 14 anos, minha blusa é usável e para várias ocasiões, até mesmo trabalho. Inclusive, ia usar essa blusa para ir trabalhar, mas o clima Rio 40 graus complica um pouco. Vesti a blusa, tirei as fotos, e troquei por outra (vou ficar devendo as fotos, estava atrasada). 

Vou esperar o calor ir embora, e usar para ir trabalhar. Aliás, acho esse tipo de blusa ideal para quem trabalha em lugares mais sérios, mas quer ser um pouco divertida.

I don't remember exactly when I bougth this shirt, but I know why I did it: because of the color. Red is my favorite color, and it was hard for my teen self not to buy it. Yes, I've had this t-shirt since when I was a teenager. As I said before, I don't remember when I bougth it. Probably in 1998, because I remember going to high school wearing it. 

Even after 14 years, I still wear it, and in different situations, such as for going to work. Also, I should wear it to go to work, but with this Rio 40 graus hot, this was kinda hard. I wore the t-shirt, took the pictures, and wore another (sorry, but no pictures this time). 

I'll wait for winter to wear it again to go to work. By the way, I think this shirt is perfect for someone who needs to be formal at work, but wants to have a little bit of fun.

This week we have to come up with an outfit with some of the oldest things we have, and I think that's a perfect way to celebrate this project and the 2 MONTHS we have just survived spent without shopping! I thought this was a great opportunity to really dig inside my closet and see what items stand the test of time. The two oldest things in my wardrobe date back from around High School time. It's impressive that I can still fit (on and off) into those pieces.

My grandma bought me this dress as a gift for my 15th birthday. I didn't get to wear it though, till a friend of mine threw her sweet-fifteen party (in Brazil the big party is at 15). Since then, this has been my go-to party dress, as long as I'm in shape! But today is Tuesday, and I'm not going to any parties, I'm going to work! So I dressed down my party dress with my other super old item: this denin jacket I bought in 1995 (I was 12 back then). To tie it all together, I added some items bought just this past December: a white silk shirt (that's a little too big) and those berry-colored MIA heels.

I can count on my hands the times I've worn this dress since the time I got it: about 5 times, including today. All other times I styled it pretty much the same way, so it was interesting cool to come up with something different this time. 

I usually have a rule that anything that I don't wear for more than one year has to go, but this rule doesn't apply to party dresses. Otherwise, how sad it would be to have to part with this lovely dress? And even though it is such a 90s item,  it's still classic enough that I can wear it 15 years later.

PS: I know that according to our rules we said that February 29th is fair game for shopping... But I decided I won't buy anything tomorrow. I really don't feel like it, and I really don't need it.

Essa semana a gente tinha que fazer um look usando uma (ou mais) das peças mais antigas que a gente tem. Eu achei que essa seria uma boa oportunidade de catar no fundo do meu armário e descobrir o que é que aguentou tantas mudanças e tendências e continua usável. Meus achados foram duas peças que tenho desde a época de colégio.

O vestido prata foi um presente de aniversário de 15 anos da minha vó, em 1997. Eu só tive chance de estreia-lo no ano seguinte em uma outra festa de 15 anos. Desde então, esse vestido é o meu preferido para festas e afins (contanto que eu sirva nele). Mas como hoje é terça, e eu não tenho nenhuma festinha pra ir, eu coloquei essa camisa por cima e a jaqueta jeans (outro achado do fundo do baú: eu comprei essa jaqueta na Hering em 1995!), além desse sapato maravilhoso da MIA Shoes. 

Posso contar nos dedos quantas vezes usei esse vestido: 5, incluindo hoje. E até hoje, sempre que eu usei ele eu usei do mesmo jeito: o vestido com um salto alto e bijoux discreta. Mas foi divertido explorar outras possibilidades para ele, e misturando com peças bem mais básicas. 

Normalmente se a roupa no meu armário não vê uso por um ano eu boto fora, com exceção de vestido de festa. Esses são muitas vezes clássicos, e dá para reaproveitar e usar quando uma outra festa aparece, principalmente se não é uma seguida de outra!

OH MY GOD! It finally arrived! The week that has feb 29th on it! The one and only day we can go shopping! Well, I told you about that here, so let's skip it (but I'm so freaking happy!).

This week we change days, and I got to open the week. Our new theme is Oldest piece in your wardrobe. I've got tons of old pieces (I mean, some really old!), but unfortunetly most of them don't fit me anymore (gotta lose weight RIGHT NOW, know what I mean?). 

So I picked up this dress, which I bought in 1999, when I was young and skinny. As you can see, it's beautiful and tight! I put it on, it fits (kind of), but I don't feel very comfortable going out with it. I can't remember where I bought it. The sandals are also quite old, can't remember when I bought them, and they are from Cristófoli.

I also came up with this look, using these pants, I bought them in Buenos Aires, when I was 15! Long, long time ago. The pants looks new and are actually new, I wore them only twice in my entire life (when I was really thin, good times...). The blouse is Opera Rock and I bought in 2006, I think. The shoes are Via Uno and I got them in 2006 as well (I guess). Earrings I bought from someone, maybe 4 years ago? Hard to keep track of my closet, lol!

Ó meu Deus! Finalmente chegou! A semana do 29 de fevereiro! Aquele dia em que podemos ir às compras! Bom, falei sobre isso aqui, então vamos pular esse assunto (mas tô tão feliz!).

Essa semana trocamos os dias, e eu fiquei com a 2a feira, pra abrir a semana. Nosso novo tema é Peça mais velha do guardarroupa. Tenho várias velharias (algumas bem velhas!) mas, infelizmente, a maioria delas não me serve mais (preciso emagrecer TIPO AGORA, entende?).

Escolhi esse vestido, que eu comprei lá por 1999, quando eu era jovem e magra. Como vocês podem ver, é lindo e justo! Eu vesti, ainda serve (bom, mais ou menos), mas não me sinto muito a vontade pra sair com ele. Não lembro onde comprei. As sandálias são meio velhinhas também, e são da Cristófoli.

Também montei esse look, usando essas calças que eu comprei em Buenos Aires, quando tinha 15 aninhos! Muito, muito tempo atrás. As calças parecem novas, e são, na verdade, porque usei elas duas vezes na minha vida inteira (quando eu tava bem magra, ótimos tempos aqueles....). A blusa é Opera Rock e eu comprei em 2006, acho. As sandálias são da Via Uno, também comprei em 2006 (acho). Os brincos comprei de alguém, talvez uns 4 anos atrás? Difícil manter um registro do meu guardarroupa! hehehehe
