I've always been interested in fashion, ever since I can remember, I bought piles of magazines, being Elle my favorite one. But I never took it seriously and Occupy the Wardrobe has been a real challenge for me. It also made me get to know fashion blogs I didn't care about, and now I'm completely in love with Cupcakes and Cashmere, by Emily Schuman. She makes everything seem so easy! She even cooks! How can one be stilish and cook at the same time? It's a total mistery!

She wrote a book I am completely crazy about! I gotta have it! You can get it at Amazon, as I will get a copy for me! Apart from clothes and shoes, books are one of my biggest passions. At Amazon you can find so many fashion books, like this selection Anita made here.

Also, I'm totally in love with Lauren Conrad's & friends The Beauty Department. It's full of hair tutorials and cool tips on fashion. And Lauren Conrad, too, has books, one on Beauty and the other on Style and I so want them both!

I'm also planning my clothing shopping list for next year (january 1st, 2013 is finally coming closer!) and I'm head over heels for Ruche's dresses! Later I'll share my wishlist here, but you should take a look!

Sempre gostei de moda, desde que consigo lembrar, sempre comprei pilhas e pilhas de revistas, sendo a Elle a minha favorita. Mas nunca levei muito a sério e o Occupy the Wardrobe tem sido um verdadeiro desafio pra mim. Também me fez conhecer blogs que antes eu não daria a mínima e agora estou totalmente apaixonada pelo Cupcakes & Cashmere, da Emily Schuman. Ela faz tudo parecer tão fácil! Ela até cozinha! Como alguém pode cozinhar e ter estilo ao mesmo tempo? É um total mistério!

Ela escreveu esse livro pelo qual estou maluquinha! Preciso ter! Você pode comprar pela Amazon, como eu vou comprar um pra mim! Ao lado de roupas e sapatos, livros são minha grande paixão. Na Amazon dá pra comprar tantos livros de moda, como essa seleção que a Anita fez aqui.

Além disso, também estou completamente apaixonada pelo blog da Lauren Conrad e umas amigas, The Beauty Department. Tem um monte de tutoriais de penteados e dicas de moda. E a Lauren Conrad também tem livros, um sobre Beleza e o outro sobre Estilo , que eu quero muito!

Também estou planejando minha lista de compra de roupas para o ano que vem (1o de janeiro de 2013 finalmente está ficando mais pertinho!) e estou totalmente in love com os vestidos da Ruche! Mais tarde vou compartilhar minha wishlist aqui, mas dá uma olhada lá!

Meus blogs preferidos / My favorite fashion blogs

Já começo admitindo: eu nunca escrevi um blog. Quer dizer, eu tentei uma ou duas vezes no começo dos anos 2000, mas todas as minhas tentativas não duraram muito (incluindo um blog coletivo "Indie-viduas" com a Vica, na época que indie não era um termo pejorativo). Mas eu sempre gostei de foto-blogging, e tenho blogado fotos non-stop desde 2005. Eu adoro fotografia, e já estou planejando posts para o Occupy the Wardrobe com muitas fotos criativas. As vezes vou ter ajuda de alguns amigos para as fotos e em outras vou fazer tudo com o meu velho amigo, o tripé.

Queria dividir com vocês alguns dos blogs que me inspiram pela fotografia, estilo e roupas. Eles todos fazem parte de uma lista bem maior, que está na nossa página de links. Além disso, eu sempre gosto de sugestões de blogs novos para seguir, então espero que vocês gostem das minhas sugestões!

Keiko Lynn: Com certeza uma das blogueiras mais fofas da internet. E não é só ela que é fofa, toda a entourage dela é perfeita: a cadelinha Miku, os gatos, o namorado, os amigos, a família, o apartamento... O legal do blog dela são os looks bem diferentes que ela cria, muitos com jeitinho vintage, e os tutoriais de maquiagem.

This Time Tomorrow: A Krystal tem um look bem bacana, bem clássico, com inspirações masculinas e peças bem edgy. Eu gosto muito de olhar o blog dela pelo estilo e pelos locais onde ela fotografa em São Francisco.

Pink About It: Okay, só descobri esse esses dias, mas de cara já adorei as fotos, que são da fotógrafa Gabriela Mo. Lindas fotos mesmo.

Sidewalk Ready: Um blog ótimo para se inspirar em looks básicos, delicados e de lojas mais em conta. A moça por trás dele também faz alguns tutoriais de cabelo, e é o marido que tira essas fotos lindas dela.

... Love, Maegan: Além de ser linda, a Maegan faz uns tutoriais ótimos sobre tudo: decoração de casa, cabelo, transformando roupas e sapatos, bijoux. Eu quero tentar alguns dos tutoriais dela essa ano, transformando roupas e acessórios que eu já tenho, tudo parte da proposta do Occupy1

What I Wore: Simples e clássica, é por isso que adoro os looks desse blog. E ela reaproveita BASTANTE o armário dela, inspiração para a gente aqui do Occupy e também para quem as vezes fica em dúvida sobre como usar uma peça de maneiras diferentes.

Full disclosure: I have never really written a blog. I mean, there was one or two tries at writing blogs back in the early 2000s, but those were mostly failed attempts. What I always really enjoyed was photo-blogging, and I've been doing it non-stop since 2005. Needless to say, I am crazy about photography, and one of my goals with Occupy the Wardrobe, is to try to create some interesting images for my Look of the Day. Granted, since the pictures will be of me, a few times I might get help from friends, but sometimes I'll just use my good old tripod.

I wanted to get started by sharing some of the girls that inspired me to get me into this blog (they are also listed on our links page, with a bunch of other noteworthy blogs), besides the other girls also writing here, of course!

Keiko Lynn: Definitely the queen of cute in the internet, and it's not only her that is adorable, her entire entourage is note worthy. The adorable puppy, her kittens, the boyfriend, her family, friends, her apartment.... What I like about her blog is how different her cute and vintage-y style, and the make up tutorials.

This Time Tomorrow: I love the elegance and timeless of Krystal's looks. The amazingness of San Francisco as a backdrop is also not lost on me. 

Pink About It: This is a pretty new find, but the photography in this blog is so intensely beautiful, it already has a guaranteed spot in my heart. The photographer for the author's looks is Gabriela Mo. 

Sidewalk Ready: Fantastic blog if you're looking for ideas of basic-chic and neutral looks. She also posts easy-to-follow hair tutorials, and her husband is the photographer. 

... Love, Maegan: Hands down one of the best blogs out there for DIY. Not only fashion DIY, but Maegan also shows how to revamp your decor and hair. I can't wait to tackle some of the projects she DIY and share the results with you guys, since the DIY idea is so in sync with what we are doing here.

What I Wore: She is simple and elegant, and one of my favorite thing about her looks is that she really shops her closet. An inspiration for when you don't know how to use a certain piece in different ways.
