Doações/Brechós/Troca entre amigas: tudo é válido - Donations/Vintage shops/Swaping among friends: it's all worth it!

Note: This post is bilingual, English translation at the bottom half.

By accepting the proposal to spend a year without buying clothes I thought it would be hopeless and endless, but every week a new challenge begins and I confess that instead of cruel, for there has been a very positive side of all this.

I must start telling you guys that I have found clothes in my closet that did not remember (I know I still owe you my inventory, but given the rush to the hospital with my father - which I have mentioned here - my inventory evolving in ant step) and with these clothes and those that I already had the habit of wearing, new combinations are created, things that had not crossed my mind until now. That is: creativity in full swing!

And so, with creativity and need we happen to make new discoveries, beginning with the extinction of prejudice that good and beautiful clothes should be brand new, just out of the store. Let's be clear: yes, I love going to a store and buying a skirt, pants, or whatever, but there are other options as well as a fun and, why not? Economic!

New concepts are created, including the donation of clothes, swaping among friends or acquisitions in thrift stores.

I was fortunate enough to get several outfits from a cousin who moved from Rio de Janeiro to Passo Fundo-RS, like the skirt of my last week look. Other pieces I share with you in this post:

The amazing of this is that there are clothes that maybe for us lost the charm or, for some reason, we never wore and which will serve wonderfully well for others. Nothing more correct, then, to RECYCLE!

Thrift stores are also where we can find some really cool and cheap clothes. Here in Porto Alegre, especially in the Lower Town neighborhood, there are several of these shops and I was surprised to find out that they are online! Check it out:
Anyway, if you have some spare time (which unfortunetely is not my case), you should visit those shops and try to look for things that will suit you, as they've got a variety of shoes, clothes and accessories.

Here goes a tip: before discarding clothes, make a meeting between friends and swap outfits with them, or even donate to those in need or for a friend you think will like that piece ... And if none of this brings "THE" clothes you want, instead of running to the closest shopping mall, why not try a thrift/vintage store for a change?

In my opinion, this is the best style to go!
