para mostrar como é possivel compor visuais diferentes com a mesma peça de
roupa:
O tema é rock e, confesso para vocês que não
é muito a minha praia esse estilo musical. Calma: não é que não ouça e não
goste, mas no meu dia a dia costumo ouvir muito mais MPB, samba e até um
pagodinho meloso (sim, sim tenho esse gosto que a maioria acha detestável... rsrsrs)!
Na "moda rock", a primeira
lembrança que me vem na memória é a cor preta e acho que das meninas tambem, pq
a semana foi repleta desse tom.
E foi com essa ideia, acrescida do que acho
fundamental para um visual: o conforto; que montei o look de hoje:

Calm down! I'm not repeating monday! Vica and I bought this jacket together, and I chose it for my today look to show you how it's possible to come up with different looks using the same piece of clothing.
This week's theme is rock n'roll, and I must confess I'm not very into rock music. Chill: I don't mean that I don't like it and never listen to it, but usually I prefer Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), samba and even a little bit of melodic pagode (if you want to know what it is, click here).
When I think about rock in fashion, the first thing that comes to my mind is the color black, and I guess the girls thought the same, because the week had a lot of black.
And with this idea in mind, along with what I think is really important in a look (the comfort), I came up with my rock look for today.
Tá bom, eu confesso: nunca fui muito do rock. Ok, podem me chicotear por isso, mas eu sempre fui bem mais bossa nova. O Occupy tem isso de legal, faz a gente experimentar, e hoje foi isso que eu fiz. Um vestido de festa que usei duas vezes só, uma camiseta que uso sempre porque amo (o Ivan Mattos, um querido, trouxe para mim da Zoropa), um cinto que estou usando pela primeira vez (desapego da Jaque, amada) e um sapato que ganhei ano passado e nunca usei (desapego da comadre). Resultado ... o visual mais rock`n`roll que eu poderia oferecer ... hehehe.

Shirley Manson is the front-lady of 90s sensation band Garbage. Her signature looks seems to include an absurd amount of black and white, and a touch of red here and there. But with this fantastic red hair, why would she need anything else, no? I've been a big fan since my teen years, and I can see how her style sort of shaped mine today. Of course I'd love to have that hair too, but a girl can't have it all, can she? Well, unless that girl is Shirley Manson. (Anita)

Nina Persson is the front-lady of Swedish band Cardigans, you know, the ones with that absurdly catchy tune "Lovefool" that you'll be singing in your head for the rest of today. Nina seems to have a penchant for romantic and sweet looking clothes, but at the same time with a little edge throw in for good measure, like a leather jacket, or a destroyed t-shirt. (Anita)

Let's give Courtney Love a round of applause for finally getting a hang on her style. That 90s coke-user look was not doing her any favors, but lately, the Cobain widow (or killer, depending on which conspiracy theory you subscribe to) is sporting some very nice looks. She is sexy and grown-up, and even (believe it!) ladylike. (Anita)

The Cramberries were one of my favourite bands in the 90's and Dolores got famous for her strong and unique voice. I have to say that her style was purely 90's, and lately she got better at fashion, but I think she still has a long way to go. (Vica)

Björk is my favourite singer/songwriter of all time. I absolutely love her. She's so unique and incomparable! Also is her fashion style! Although most of what she wears is rather crazy or way too "modern" for the regular girl, there are certain looks that can be really inspiring, as you can use the color combinations and also hair styles to come up with your own look. To wrap this post up, we rescued Linda Perry from the 90's! She was the lead singer for the band 4 Non Blondes, which I liked a lot. I think she has a real rock singer style, still kinda grunge but also cool in a very usable way. (Vica)

I couldn't help it but start this week's post with a header inspired by the song that made me fall in love with Oasis 18 years ago. "Rock'n'roll Star" was the first song I heard from them, and at the time, with my poor English skills and all, I just knew the song spoke to me, that the lyrics were what I was feeling at that moment in time.
Funny enough, 18 years and Oasis is still my favorite band. Technically, they are not a band anymore, but their two leads (brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher) are investing in their solo careers, and while Liam's new band, Beady Eye, is the untalented part of Oasis, Noel is shining with his new album and tour. His concerts are selling out like hot cakes, and I was lucky enough to guarantee me some tickets to see him next week in Las Vegas, at The Pearl, with only 2,500 other people in attendance. A big change from the last time I saw him, when Oasis performed for 90,000 people in Buenos Aires (and the time before that, for 200,000 in Rock in Rio).
But enough with the backstory. This week's theme is Rock'n'roll and besides my love for this musical genre, I also happened to really like this as a fashion style. Granted, I do not own a lot of rock'n'roll pieces anymore, now that I have a 8-to-5 job, but black is still the predominant color in my wardrobe, and I'm not one to pass a good concert t-shirt (although, I may have to this year).
My choice of outfit for this week, is not actually something I wore today necessarily, but the outfit I am planning to wear when I see Noel next week in Vegas. It's a small venue, reserved seating, so I thought I could go a little fancier than my usual "I'm only wearing this because it will be hot, tight, and crazy at the concert" which usually consists of my oldest jean-shorts, a tank top, and flats. No, this deal next week is going to be fancy, so my rock'n'roll look will consist of black, gold, and taupe.

And of course, to finish off today's post, I couldn't not post"Rock'n'roll Star" by Oasis; and ask: What's was the best rock concert you've ever been to?

Eu tinha que começar o post de hoje com um pedaço da música responsável por eu me apaixonar pela banda Oasis, 18 anos atrás. "Rock'n'roll Star" foi a primeira música que eu ouvi deles, e na época, mesmo com o pouco de inglês que eu sabia, essa música dizia tudo que eu estava sentindo naquele momento.
Engraçado, quase vinte anos depois e Oasis ainda é minha banda preferida. Tecnicamente eles não são mais uma banda, já que os dois irmãos que compunham a parte central do Oasis brigaram e partiram para carreiras separadas. A nova banda do Liam, Beady Eye, é um saco, mas o Noel está brilhando em sua carreira solo. O show está vindo para Las Vegas semana que vem, e eu tive sorte de conseguir ingressos para esse show, que vai ser bem pequeno, só para 2.500 pessoas (bem melhor do que o último que eu fui do Oasis com 90 mil pessoas em Buenos Aires, ou o do Rock in Rio com 200 mil!)
Mas era isso de história (e hah, que ironia, com 18 anos de bagagem tem MUITA história). O tema da semana é Rock'n'roll, e além do meu amor por esse genero musical, eu também gosto muito do estilo rock de vestir. Eu até não tenho mais muita roupa rock, afinal, a idade é avançada demais pra isso, mas preto ainda é a cor predominante no meu armário, e eu sempre compro uma camiseta de show quando dá (bom, tirando esse ano).
O look que eu escolhi usar essa semana não é um que eu tenha usado hoje (ou ontem), mas é o look que eu to pensando em usar quando eu for a Vegas semana que vem ver o show do Noel. O lugar do show é pequeno, e com lugar marcado, então eu queria usar algo um pouco mais arrumadinho que o meu costumeiro jeans/camiseta/tênis, quanto mais velho e comfortável melhor.

This week's theme, as you might have guessed, is rock n'roll. Still not easy, but something I had less trouble thinking about. Who doesn't like rock n'roll anyway?
Lately I've been in love with Rory Gallagher's rock n'roll. This Irish man's music is just incredible and I can't stop listening to it. Really old school rock and just fantastic! I hope you like it, too.
I think Michele is going to like this look, as we both have this little jacket, we bought it together maybe 4/5 years ago!

O tema dessa semana, como vocês devem ter adivinhado, é rock n'roll. Também não é fácil, mas ao menos foi algo que eu precisei pensar menos a respeito. E quem não gosta de rock n'roll, afinal?
Ultimamente tenho estado apaixonada pelo rock n'roll de Rory Gallagher. A música desse Irlandês é incrível e não consigo parar de escutar. Rock das antigas e absolutamente fantástico! Espero que vocês gostem também.
