Get inspired with Breakfast at Tiffany's / Inspire-se com a Bonequinha de Luxo

Hello, hello, and welcome to a very special week on Occupy. It's Carol's birthday this week, and we'll be throwing her a blog party! For starters, she gets to pick a theme for all of us to play with. And let me say, she chose our weekly theme very well: Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Ah, the good old Audrey Hepburn in her famous role as Holly Golightly, whose little black dress forever inspired fashion enthusiasts every where in the world. Hopefully it will inspire us to be bold and extravagant like Holly. To get our brains working, I prepared this post with some inspiring looks from the movie.

1. Wide Brim Hat
The wide brim hat made a come back a few years ago, and I'm always amazed at the chic looks people pull off with them at the beach. But Holly is in couldn't-be-less-beachy New York, and still rocking the wide brim hat. I think her combination is perfect for a summer in the city, and if I could shop, right now I think I'd head over to Forever 21 to grab one of those beauties.

2 - Bold Colored Outerwear
I chose to share this outfit especially for my friends in Brazil that are just now starting to deal with the colder months of winter. Why not add some bold colors to your winter wardrobe, and bring a little bit of sunshine to the streets? Orange is a very popular color right now, but I think royal blue, turquoise, kelly green, and yellow would also be great colors to wear this season. Invest in a jacket with a classic cut, and then it will stay with you for many years to come. Also, take advantage of the winter to wear those cute little hats. It will keep you warm and very fashionable.

3- Loungewear
I'm 100% with Holly on this one, if you're going to stay at home all day, it's still no excuse to get lax on the wardrobe. There's still some really cute sweats out there, so throw away those old t-shirts for good, and get some comfy and form-fitting stuff to wear at home. Your cat will thank you.

4- The Little Black Dress
The LBD is a classic and a must-have on anyone's wardrobe. I'm sad to report that I am missing of a nice sleeveless LBD on my closet, but I have a couple of good ones with sleeves, that I mostly wear to work.

5- Tiffany Blue(Green?)

I often hear about the color as being referred to as Tiffany Blue, but to me it looks more like green. Either way, this color and its tonal variations are super pretty for the summer, and if I had unlimited funds, I'd be heading over to Tiffany right now to add that little clutch to my collection. Oh wait, I mean, I'd wait till January 1st, 2013, and then I'd buy it. And I didn't put the price tag on that lovely bracelet, because I just didn't want to depress you. Gorgeous, right? We'll join Holly with a cup of coffe, and while she looks cool, we'll just stare into Tiffany's store open mouthed and drooling over all their beautiful jewelry.

Olá, olá a todos e bom começo de semana. Semana, que aliás, vai ser bem especial para o Occupy. É aniversário da Carol essa semana, e a gente vai aproveitar e fazer a festa por aqui. Para começar, é ela que escolhe o tema da semana, e acho que ela escolheu muito bem! O tema da semana é o filme Bonequinha de Luxo, clássico da Audrey Hepburn. 

O clássico personagem de Holly Golightly, ficou famosa por eternizar o vestido pretinho básico. Espero que o estilo da Holly seja o suficiente para nos inspirar a ousar mais essa semana. Para começar, eu fui procurar algumas imagens do filme para nos inspirar. 

1. Chápeu de aba larga

Já faz alguns anos que estamos vendo esses chapelões por ae, principalmente em looks de verão. Mas eu acho ótimo que a Holly está usando esse mega chapéu em Nova York, que de praia não tem nada. Acho que esse chapéu também é uma ótima pedida para um dia quente de verão na cidade, e se eu pudesse fazer compras, certamente seria o item desse post que eu iria imediatamente atrás apra comprar!

2. Casacos em cores fortes

Eu escolhi essa foto especialmente para o pessoal do Brasil que está agora começando a aproveitar o inverno. Eu não sei quanto a vocês,  mas eu costumo ter uma paleta de cores mais neutras durante o inverno. Mais fácil de combinar com tudo, e dura mais tempo, independente da moda. Mas sabe, nada como um casacão coloridão como esse para trazer um pouco de calor para o inverno! Então recomendo mesmo, ter pelo menos um casaco em uma cor forte esse inverno.  

3. Roupa pra ficar em casa
Olha, nessa eu to com a Holly 100%. Roupa de ficar em casa tem que ser comfortável e bonita, nada de camiseta velha e calça furada pra mim. Ninguém merece ficar com cara de lixo em casa!

4. O pretinho básico 
O básico do guarda roupa mesmo. Vou admitir que não tenho um vestidinho preto que nem o da Holly, bom pra usar numa festa e impressionar todo mundo. Os meus pretinhos básicos tem manga comprida e são mais apropriados para o local de trabalho ou festas no inverno. Em 2013, Holly que me aguarde. 

5. Tiffany & Co
Esse último set foi inspirado na loja Tiffany & Co, que empresta seu nome ao título do filme. A cor da marca, um verde ou azul, é ótima para o verão, principalmente combinando com outros tons pastéis e florais. Se eu tivesse fundos sem fundo, iria agora mesmo pra Tiffany e comprava essa clutch em 3 cores diferentes, porque é linda. Ou, na real, eu esperava até dia 1o de Janeiro de 2013 e comprava.
